They are employed in seawater cooling lines, offshore platforms, naval ships, and high-performance heat exchangers. Copper nickel seamless pipes are required in saltwater fire protection, ballast systems, brine pipelines, and desalination units. They are suitable for aggressive environments because of their corrosion resistance and strength, which enables them to hold up even when welded pipes cannot. They’re also selected for marine HVAC systems and condenser tubes in power plants.
Incoloy tubing has nickel (30–46%), chromium (19–23%), and iron with trace amounts of molybdenum, copper, and titanium. It provides tensile strength of 500–700 MPa and high resistance to high-temperature oxidation and sulfur-bearing atmospheres. Incoloy does not pit, intergranular corrode, or crack due to chloride. Main benefits are high strength retention at high temperatures, weldability, and long life in chemically aggressive systems. It’s the best for hot acid, alkali, and brine exposure.
